Digitization of IFFK using DCP Method (In Nov 2012) The seventeenth International film festival of Kerala is also on its path to digitization The specialty of this festival is that 80 out of 198 movies are being exhibited in Digital Cinema Projection ( DCP ). How DCP Works ? In DCP, the movies are preserved in hard disk. Distributors take these disks to the theaters early. After that the information related to the technology of exhibition of the projector is handed over to those concerned. Then it is provided with a secret number called the KDM (Key Delivery Message). When this number is fed into the computer that comes along with the projector, the DCP can be opened and the movie can be exhibited.
